Established in 1970 as a joint venture between Germany's Hüls AG (currently Evonik) and Daicel Corporation (currently Daicel Corporation), Daicel-Evonik has been producing excellent functional resins such as polyamide (PA) 12 such as DAIAMID^®, VESTAMID^®, and VESTOSINT^®, and TROGAMID^® (transparent PA). We offer a wide range of products, including C8&C12 alicyclic compounds, VESTAKEEP^® PEEK, R-COMPO^®, composite sheets with rubber, SEPURAN^® for separation membranes, ROHACELL^® for heat-resistant composite core materials, and polarizing sheets based on TROGAMID^®. With the ISO14001 certification in 1988, we have enhanced our system to provide our customers with the best products and technologies, and at the same time, we are actively working to address environmental issues. We are striving to be "No. 1" in the field of high-performance resins.

In December 2021, Daicel Corporation transferred its share interest to its wholly-owned subsidiary, Polyplastics Co., Ltd. As a result, Daicel-Evonik changed its name to Polyplastics-Evonik Corporation on April 1, 2022.

In light of these organizational changes, the Company has decided to revert its corporate name to Daicel ‑ Evonik Corporation in order to clearly communicate its business positioning and to more explicitly demonstrate its strategic partnership with Daicel Corporation and Evonik Industries to customers and other external stakeholders.

Going forward, the Company will further strengthen collaboration with Daicel Group’s high‑performance materials businesses and combine its established marketing and technical service capabilities with Evonik’s advanced materials technologies. Through these efforts, the Company aims to deliver higher value‑added solutions to customers worldwide. In addition, by enhancing application development capabilities and expanding its product portfolio, the Company seeks to achieve sustainable growth and create synergies with both parent companies.
